I am having problems getting my remote control to work with LIRC. I have
tried using both the mceusb driver and the devinput driver with no joy.
I am using ubuntu 11.04 and I have tried the package lirc version as
well as a self built lirc0.9.0.
If I use the devinput driver, and the default devinput remote control
configuration, running irw displays no output when I press a button on
If I stop lircd, I am able to record a config file using irrecord.
However when I restart lircd using this config file, again irw displays
mode2 does nothing when I use the devinput driver, while I do get output
from it if I use the mceusb driver.

I have tried the two videomate k300 config files at the lirc website
without any joy.
I have attached the output of irrecord and the generated config file.
Does anybody have any suggestions what I should try? I am a programmer
so I'm not averse to debugging the lircd if it turns out to be a bug
rather than a configuration issue.
