I built a simple serial port IR receiver and it works fine. Unfortunately,
winlirc cannot learn the codes from my remote control properly. At the very
end of the learning process, when it asks me to hold the button down, it
says that it cannot determine which button was pressed (or something to
Luckily, I managed to import a config file for my remote that was recorded
by someone using lirc under linux (file here:
works fine except that it doesn't support repeating codes. That means if I
want to turn the volume all the way up, I have to press the volume up
button a hundred times to do it because holding down the button won't keep
increasing the volume.
Does anyone know what I could do to get repeating codes to work with this
