I have been trying to install/configure my tekram IR-210 with LIRC
without any success :(
I ran configure and choosed the tekram device in the serial list.
The installation went fine and used the lirc_sir module.
But nothing happens when I run "mode2" and press the buttons on my
remotes (I have tested with two Sony and one Philips). And I don't
notice anything when I run lircd.
It seems like the driver gets properly installed and that lircd can start.
Is there a good way to check if something/anything gets picked up by the
IRmate or maybe the ttyS0 port at all ???
and.. It works fine under windows so I know it's not broken.
So here is some background information:
* I use mandrake 9.1 and used the kernel source code that was
distributed with the dist.
* /var/log/messages shows:
lirc_sir: I/O port 0x03e8, IRQ 4
enable_irq(4) unbalanced from d48ca953
alias char-major-61 lirc_sir
options lirc_sir irq=4 io=0x3e8
Didn't give me any info about a serial/lirc driver
could not open config file...
No such file or dir...
caught signal (sometimes)
Is there someone out there that can help me ??? Someone that has tried
the tekram 210 ? I'm getting desperate =)
Regards - Andreas

If it is on the first com port(ttyS0) then try commenting out the
options line in modules.conf, or change io=3D0x3f8.
