in case anyone is using "avrlirc", the AVR and serial-port based
IR hardware, i've just put a new tarball up for download.
there is _no_ change to the AVR microcode. the only changes are
in the user-level daemon, which now has the capability of waiting
for a USB tty device to appear. (or reappear, if it's unplugged
and reinserted.) the old behavior was for the daemon to die if
the specified tty didn't exist, which only works well for
traditional fixed tty devices.
(i actually made these changes quite a long time ago, and only just
now realized that i'd never released them.)
