This is my first post an I'm looking for some help. I currently
have a generic TV tuner card that can trace it''s origins back to
http://www.linengda.com as model TMTV878AF. It comes with TV/FM and remote. The
card itself is bttv compatible and uses the card#70 option from bttv.
Now the remote works in Windows, so I know it works. However, I am
trying to get it to work on Mandrake 10.1. The IR receiver is a simple
dongle on a wire that connects to the TV card with a headphone type plug.
It is the same as on my other Leadtek TV2000XP Expert. The remote control
itself is an HH-338 32-key from Wadoo International Development
Now the TV card works and is supported and the remote is also used
on other systems. I have found the remote used on the SABRENT SBT-TVFM
cards, but these cards are SAA7134-based, not bttv. I am willing to do some
work to get it to work, but I am lost where to start. I have a bttv
supported TV card and a remote used on other systems that people have got to
work with LIRC.
The system works in Windows so the combination is valid. How to I
combine this together to make a working system?
