I recently tried the lirc input module of the DirectFB library. I noticed that
it is not configured in the same way as standard lirc clients, e.g. lircmd,
irpty, ircat, and so on. In fact it does not use any .lircrc config file.
It just looks at the output of /dev/lircd and if the button string matches one
of its own special strings it is recognised and passed to the higher levels.
Is it the standard way a client should behave?
The problem is that it doesn't handle repeats nor different remotes.
Is DirectFB wrong or should I prevent repeats within lircd?
