My homebrew ir transmitter works fine with three of the six devices I've
tried it with. (Sony receiver, pioneer cd, magnavox vcr.)
The uniden dss receiver only has a problem when three or more signals
are sent to it in quick sucsesssion, I'm guessing there is a rate
limit of some sort and may try adding a small delay in rc between
signals. (It doesn't seem to be a power problem with the serial-port
powered transmitter, that was what I first suspected.)
The JVC tv just doesn't work at all. (I tried it at zero distance.)
I'm guessing that it may want a different carrier frequency and the
TSOP1838 isn't to picky. Does anybody know?
The magnavox dvd sometimes works, it may just be an aiming/distance
problem, or may be a frequency one as well. (It's rather picky on how
the original remote is aimed.) This is my only "RC6" device, if
that's a clue.
