Wrong info? Really? Some examples:
"Remove the config files, if you don't need them anymore:
rm /usr/local/etc/lircd.conf /usr/local/etc/lircmd.conf ~/.lircrc"
(lirc-doc; install-lirc (point: uninstall))
"Check if there is already a config file in /usr/local/etc/lircd.conf. If
check if there is a config file available for your remote control at the
LIRC homepage and copy it to /usr/local/etc/lircd.conf. If not
start irrecord (finish all applications that access /dev/lirc first) and
follow the instructions given to you by this program. Copy the resulting file to
"Normalerweise wird bei einer bekannten Fernbedienung die passende
Konfigurationsdatei: lircd.conf bereits automatisch in das Verzeichnis:
(a German installation guide)
Nevertheless I also have a lircd.conf in /etc, and this one is used at
GMX - Die Kommunikationsplattform im Internet.
