The remote i struggle with is recognized as a HID device, adressable via 2 files: /dev/input/event2 and /dev/input/event3. If i add the correct driver LIRCD_DRIVER="devinput" and one of the devices LIRCD_DEVICE="/dev/input/event2" into the config file at /etc/sysconfif/lirc, i can use a few buttons on my remote control. Now, if i add the other device, then i can use the other buttons. But never i can use all buttons. I have read a lot in the past days about using multiple devices for lirc, espacially at http://www.lirc.org/html/configure.html. On this side i found the following:
> lircd --driver=default --device=/dev/lirc1 --output=/dev/lircd1 \
> lircd --driver=default --device=/dev/lirc --output=/dev/lircd \
Where do i have to put this ? If i put those lines with the correct devices into a script and start lirc this way, there is a bit of success. Irw works (if there is a lircd.conf file) but irxevent and/or irexec doesnt work, saying it could not connect to socket and connection refused. Then, if i start lirc with the lirc config file, irxevent and irexec works, but not with all keys.
There must be a way to put those lines above into the config file, but how and where exactly ? I dont find anything in the documentation or the manual where to edit the lirc config file and to include the lines above. Can you please help me ?
Im using opensuse 11.1 and lirc 0.8.4.
