The reason I ask is I have run ./setup script from the CVS version of 2 days
ago, I pick the Packard_bell reciever, then go to save and compile. It then
tells me I don't havc the kernel src's installed, but I do. Next I tried to
call ./configure myself, and pass the
kernalsrouce=/usr/src/linux.2.18.whatever.. paramater, and it then gives me
the OK.. It then tells me to run make..
It spits out an error during the make proccess when it gets to compiling
lirc_serial, I can't remember exaclty what it is, it's not very specific. it
just dies.. I'll try again tonight and post the results..

is is for redhat8.0 lirc-0.6.5... it doesn't come with the lirc_serial
module.. is this needed with the packard bell reciever? It has lircd and
lircmd.. got any suggestions on testing?
I know this is a _really_ stupid question, but how can I find out the COM
ports settings on my seiral ports? As i said earlier I am very _newbie_ to
