I am using a Hauppauge PVR 500 MCE edition.
I have the silver and black remote working great with lirc_mceusb2.
I also have a DirecTV remote (RCA D770) which I also want to get working.
Using the vcr1 button, I have just about everything working as well.
Here is the picture of the remote:
And the codes for it:
I have 1 outstanding issue.
The Volume up and down button seems to generate whatever code the TV button
choice was. So no matter what device I choose (pressing either vc1, DVD,
vcr2, AUX, SAT) the volume button always controls the TV.
If I spark up irw and press the volume buttons nothing is registered.
How can I actually figure out what code is being sent from the remote?
I will just update the lircd.conf file with that code and allow it to
control both the TV and the volume for Myth. That is a reasonable
work around (unless someone has better ideas).
lirc_mceusb2 is automatically loaded on boot, when I issued a:\
fishburn@...:/usr/src$ sudo mode2 -d /dev/lirc0
mode2: error opening /dev/lirc0
mode2: Device or resource busy
I am not sure how to unload it so that I can perform additional tests.
I am reasonably new to Linux, so if you have a suggestion I would appreciate
if you could provide some command line examples as well.
Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
