I'm not complete sure, but it seems so indeed, I've not investigated
this completely but it seems there is some difference at least between
transmitting and receiving, and I'm suspecting there is some difference
between chips also (probably some masks or so)!
The datasheet on the sparkfun website seems to indicate a x16 clock
output of the baud rate generator. On the ftdi web site there is a
newer document that doesn't mention this x16 clock, but it doesn't seem
to mention what the sampling rate is.
Is it possible there are some newer FT232 chips out there that do a
sampling of 32? Is this controlled by some register (I don't see it in
the datasheet) or did I just get lucky with these changes?
