Hi all,

I just started looking at how to write a custom driver for LIRC to communicate with my USB Ir Toy (http://dangerousprototypes.com/docs/USB_Infrared_Toy ) but as i’m nto really familiar with either Linux or C i just wonder.

Is there any documentation on how to write a custom driver for LIRC?

My needs are quite simple, on startup write an ”s” to a fake serial port and then the IR Toy will send pulse-pause data in pairs when it receives them.

Am i even looking at the correct part of LIRC for this, or should i concentrate on something besides a driver?

Thankful for any pointers,

/Linus
