#22 Incorrectly painted components on modal dialogs

I have a modal dialog box that pops up once my
application has been launched if a db connection is
required. Within this dialog the components are painted
incorrectly. There seems to be some type of ghosting
going on whereby the components in the dialog appear
to be painted several times. Closing and reopening this
dialog doesn't fix the problem either.

Standard JOptionPanes appear to work fine.
