I suppose to be taking the official holiday off and the whole ski resort is white and quite after midnight here...... I am not sure what I am doing now. So, if there is anything hard to understand, please blame the holiday :). Ping P.S., see my comments inline. 2009/12/24 Przemysław Firszt <pr...@fi...>: > Dnia 2009-12-24, czw o godzinie 08:28 +1000, Peter Hutterer pisze: >> On Wed, Dec 23, 2009 at 07:08:34PM +0000, Przemysław Firszt wrote: >> > Dnia 2009-12-23, śro o godzinie 09:57 -0800, Ping pisze: >> > > STopX0 is a read-only option since it returns the screen origins, >> > > which you can not change. That is why I added this "Feature Request https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&aid=1559640&group_id=69596&atid=525127" and assigned it to myself more than 3 years ago. However, this feature has never been requested by anyone else so I've never got the opportunity to prioritize it over other "urgent" support. > I'm using 22" monitor and 6x8" tablet {I can't belive I'm using inches. > mm is the only right unit in the universe ;-)}. But, you'll lose some tablet active area if the actual ratio of your tablet is not the same as your screen. That's why the 4x6, 6x11 and 8x13 models were introduced. I don't want gimp tools to occupy part of the active > area, so I though about some dynamic rescaling (or just key shortcut > triggered) to get a tool and then go back to the picture. It's another > "pie in the sky", but I feel quite self-confident as a chef ;-) You could apply the same method we used for "KeepShape" to scale the whole tablet to a portion of the screen/display/window. However, anything related to more than one screen may not be as simple as you would like it to be. This complexion is more due to the fact of "unstable/inconsistent" support of multi-monitors on Linux than the true technical challenge (I am saying this with two graduate degrees, one in Mathematics and the other in Computer Science). I know there are a lot of "hungry" users. But I have not met a chef yet. I know cooking is someone's, NOT MINE, hobby though :). So, chef de cuisine Przemo, the whole kitchen is yours now (please email me your sf.net account so I can add you as an official developer to the project and assign feature request 525127 to you). Thank you. Ping |
