#51 Multi-touch support

Just wondering whether you will be able to add multi-touch support for the new bamboo model that is now out. I have searched the entire site and I did not see multi touch mentioned anywhere. I can understand if this is something that the X-server may have to support, but if it is not then I think it would be a great feature to add.

I have one wacom bamboo multi-touch (CTH-460) that is unusable in Ubuntu..... What pain to have it mute in Ubuntu!

since I have the same problem, I do support this request.

Actually there is a very long (40+ pages) thread in the ubuntu support forums that details how to manually patch the driver and config files to get the Bamboo Pen+Touch pad to work. In my case I ended up with the driver working but the keys still wrong and I stopped because I had no more time left. Also I found out that I'd have to manually re-load the wacom.ko module each time after booting and login, which is a bit unnerving :-(

Because there seems to be a patch that seems to be working, I kindly ask for integration of this patch in the next 8.5.* development release, so it'll be available with less than a few hours reading threads and patching. And hopefully without manual interaction upon each reboot.

    Thanks in advance!

Edit: In my comment I was talking about the pen functionality. Touch support is nice, but without even pen support the tablet is useless - and I bought it mainly because of the pen ;-)
