Hi,

I just purchased a wacom Pen Partner thinking it was
supported, but apparently the new ones sport a new
protocol and indicate that by having a different id:

Bus 003 Device 004: ID 056a:0061 Wacom Co., Ltd

I searched the devel mailing list and apparently
someone found this before, implemented a solution and
asked for a way to incorporate it to the wacom
distribution but nobody replied to him. Please please
do! :)

Any help on getting this to work would be appreciated.
(Changing blacklist to include the new product id is
not enough).

    How can I attach my modified wacom.c and hid-core.c to this
    bug? I don't see any attach file button.

    Hi,

    I got a 0x61 PenPartner aswell. Apparently it's called
    PenStation
    in Japan. Searching for 0x61+wacom found a lot of references
    to that on japanese sites. However the box says PenPartner
    FT-0203-U. The pressure in your patch is declared with a
    maximum of 256 but mine is able to do up to 512. So I use:
    { "Wacom Penpartner", 8, 3250, 2320, 511, 32,
    0, wacom_penpartner2_irq },
    in wacom.c

    One final remark, the protocol seems pretty close to the
    graphire, I wonder why they had to invent the wheel again... :-)

    Allright, I got it running now. You need to rebuild the
    XFree driver
    (wacom_drv.o)

    Under the following of src/wcmUSB.c around line 289
    case 0x60: /* Volito */
    model = &usbVolito; break;

    add:
    case 0x61: /* PenPartner / PenStation */
    model = &usbGraphire; break;

    As I mentioned earlier the protocol of the graphire is similiar.
    It works here that patchy way...
