I've been searching a good solution for solving Intous4 pen pressure issue on RHEL6.1 64bit.
Please help ! I'd like step by step clear commands for installing it.
Currently, the Kernel my system is: 2.6.32-131.6.1.el6.x86_64
X11 Driver is : X.Org X Server 1.7.7
The good thing is I can just plug Wacom Intous 4 into the USE slot and use it. It seems everything works fine except pen pressure. Pen pressure doesn't work at all. No matter whatever I draw it just gives me hash lines.
I hope you guys can guide me and solve this issue out.
A very big thanks in advance.
What's your driver version (rpm -q xorg-x11-drv-wacom)? and what is the output of xinput -test <device name>. You can get the device name from xinput -list (xinput is part of xorg-x11-apps).
Does the third axis show the pressure there?
Do I still need a Wacom driver to be installed on RHEL?
RHEL6.0 supports Wacom Intuos4. However, only pen pressure seems to be not working.
I didn't install a third Wacom driver in RHEL. Please tell me what to do and what is the concept of installing wacom driver?
Thanks a lot.
You need the xorg-x11-drv-wacom package installed to make use of the driver in X. After the installation, you need to restart HAL and X to get the driver to pick up the device.
