#101 wacom+xinerama: only halves of screen used

I set up a dual monitor setup with Xinerama. I expect the left half of my tablet to be mapped to the left screen and the right half to the right screen.
What actually happens is that the left half of the tablet is mapped to the left half of the left screen and the right half of the tablet to the right half of the right screen.

I tried with both the Ubuntu Hardy 8.04 packet ( and a hand-compiled version (8.0.0-3).

I have 0.8.0-3 and Xinerama setup on my system. It works. To see what happens on your system, I need to see your /etc/X11/xorg.conf and /var/log/Xorg.0.log. The best way to discuss issues is through linuxwacom discussion email list: linuxwacom-discuss@lists.sourceforge.net. Please email the 2 files to me directly.

It sounds like a non-Xinerama dual display case. For true Xinerama setup (cursor can move object from one screen to the other), I don't see this issue.

Hi. I have the same issue, except I have 4 monitors setup with fglrx and xinerama. The tablet divides into quarters. The top left quarter moves the cursor on the first monitor's top-left quarter. Second quarter moves the cursor on the second screen but only in the top-right quarter of that screen. And so on...
I have linuxwacom 0.8.1-6 and xorg 7.3 running on Arch linux. Let me know if you'd like me to post my xorg.conf, etc, here or email them. Thanks

My setup is a real Xinerama setup, can move windows from one monitor to the other, keep them in the middle, span them over both etc.

I upgraded to Ubuntu 8.10 recently (xorg 7.4, linuxwacom version and the problem is solved there. So, works for me now.

I'm still having this problem. even with linuxwacom 0.8.2 drivers, xserver 1.4.99.something, and kernel 2.6.28. it's frustrating. maybe I just have the wacom configured wrong.

I've had this problem since upgrade to xorg 1.5 in May 2009. described at http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-761723-highlight-linuxwacom.html . just upgraded to linuxwacom 0.8.4., no change. using hal to configure, not xorg.conf :

root@zero:13:35:07 portage # xinput --list | grep Wacom
    "Wacom Intuos3 4x6" id=5 [XExtensionKeyboard]
    "Wacom Intuos3 4x6 pad" id=6 [XExtensionKeyboard]
    "Wacom Intuos3 4x6 cursor" id=7 [XExtensionKeyboard]
    "Wacom Intuos3 4x6 eraser" id=8 [XExtensionKeyboard]
root@zero:13:38:17 portage # xsetwacom get "Wacom Intuos3 4x6 pad" NumScreen
