That should already be done. I checked, and it works for me.

I copied /usr/share/vim/vim61/macros/vimrc from the Red Hat box
to /etc/vim/vimrc on the Debian box.

The service script is in /usr/local/bin. As long as that is in
your $PATH, you should be able to use it.
