Remember:

A bad kernel driver may cause LINUX to crash. Do not test on a system that you need.

Goal:

Test the VERY experimental kernel device driver at http://member.nifty.ne.jp/Breeze/softwares/unix/usbmidi-e.html

and report to richardpenner@home.com

the following:

1) What is the Manufacturer and model of the device?

2) Did the driver recognize the device (Check /var/log/messages) ?

3) If you have suitable equipment, does it function as an input device?

4) Does it function as an output device?

5) If you can identify the device in the /proc/bus/usb file tree, type "od -t x1 <device ID>" and send results to me.

Example: od -t x1 /proc/bus/usb/001/002

6) Send me a copy of /proc/bus/usb/devices
and /proc/bus/usb/drivers

Thank you.
