Hi, I am not sure that my proplem is correct posted here.
Sorry if not.
I have SuSE6.4 and kernel 2.3.99-pre9 a Vaio-C1 and a USB-Floppy.
cat /proc/scsi/scsi lists: Atached devices:
Host: scsi0 Channel: 00 Id: 00 Lun: 00
Vendor: Y-E DATA Model: USB-FDU Rev:1.14
Type: Direct-Access Ansi SCSI Revision: 02
but mount /dev/sda /mnt fails with:
/dev/sda has wrong Major or Minor device number
-------------------------------------------------
ls -l /dev/sda => brw-rw---- 1 root disk 8,0 ...
/proc/mounts: usbdevfs /proc/bus/usb usbdevfs wr 0 0
Whats wrong?
I found no answer in your LinuxUSBguide.

I can't tell without a little more information.
Did you read the bit in the Linux USB Guide about providing information when you have a problem?
If so, can you send that information?
If not, can you at least send me the .config file and the list of modules you have loaded? Use email - it works better.
