Hello List, I am using ASPEN SH7750 base board from Hitachi, with TAHOE Q2SD daughter board. My computer (P-3) and ASPEN board are connected using serial port (DMON console). Also an ethernet cable is connected on Dbg Eth of ASPEN board and my computer I am able to boot the board successfully, but when I try to ping to/from board, it displays the error message "sendto: host is down". It is interesting that few days back it was working correctly. But now it is not working. I don't know the reason of problem. When I unplug the ethernet cable, the message displays "Link is down" and when I reconnect it the message displayed is "Link is up". The led on Eth port indicates the activity on port. I have settled and verified all the parameters for networking (IP addresses etc.) correctly. Is there any mechanism/setting in hardware to due to which the controller is not responding ? The manual doesn't have any such information. The details of controller and driver are as follows: Mode = 100BTHD SMC9000 Vendor..............0x0 Device...............0x8 Revision.............0x0 I/O Port Base....0x4400300 Interrupt............0x2 Can anybody help me in this regard ? Please CC the reply to me also, as I am not member of list. Thanks in advance. Deepak. |
