Welcome to the !x86 world. :)  (I'm almost sure you've had experiance
with another arch, but for the rest of the world soon to be joining...)
anything other than x86 will never be fully in sync anyhow.  The fun
part is idealy you sync up with a rev, pound it heavily and hope that
upstream hasn't changed a lot in the mean time.  Then you patch bomb. :)

Having said that, do any of the powers that be have plans to being
patchbombing marcelo (and maybe even linus? :))
