[linuxsh-dev] Build difficulties

Greetings all,

I am continuing to have difficulties building the kernel for the SH3
solution engine.

I did a CVS check out with:

... co binutils
... co kernel
... co gcc-core

The binutils and gcc-core built and installed without problem. However
the kernel build still gives errors relating to apostrophes in the
entry.S file and DECLARE_MUTEX in irq.c
The last time I had these problems I was advised that I needed newer
tools:
I would have thought that the CVS checkout would be the latest? (from
sourceforge) is this correct?

I feel so close yet so far from having the kernel going!

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
