Since no one more knowledgable has responded, I can pipe up to let you know that I have found exactly nothing specific to the 548. (Unless you count people asking if there's anything available;) > If I assume that the precompiled kernel for 240x320 devices and boot loader > work, that leaves the question of, does anyone have distribution cabbled > together? perhaps something like tomsrtbt, where everything is tiny and most > utilities are just tiny awk scripts, nc scripts, and busybox? I haven't had any luck there either. I've tried a couple versions of lld, and a couple 240x320 kernels. The most recent of which came from the sourceforge linxce project: http://sourceforge.net/projects/linuxce/ The best I've been able to accomplish is soft-reset my 548. Any help on getting a bootloader functioning would be appreciated. The minixsh project has apparently had some success with a 690. I was thinking of heading that direction long enough to get an understanding of how these teeny things boot (http://minixsh.tripod.co.jp/DL11_E.html). That's assuming that it's a relatively simple process. I find the sh+ipl+gdb docs intimidating, but have pretty much resigned myself to it. I just don't have the time right now. > Now the really ludicrous question... what is the possibility of the video > ever being supported by Xfree86? He also said that he would help press HP for information if I needed it. -- Mark W. Alexander sl...@do... |
