Jaswinder What, you mean you're not a member of the 38400 inner circle klub (or 'THICK' as it is fondly known) ? What is the world coming to...? Well, much as I'd like to, I can't divulge the secrets of the society, otherwise I'd risk losing all privileges (the golden D-type, the social company of fellow members, my life, that sort of thing). And I'm not sure I could describe the secret handshake in ASCII graphics anyway. On the other hand, it could just be force of habit. That is as fast as some slow embedded devices can go without risking dropping characters, but fast enough to be usable for human interactions, so it is what I tend to use. Boring answer I'm afraid.
