IBM Workpad Z50 - vr linux - current 2.6 kernel - etc

Hello all,
 I have been attempting to figure out how to get my IBM Workpad Z50 to run a recent 2.6 kernel. I am aware of vr-linux, but all of the progress made there seems to be in pieces on the web. I have been looking everywhere I can think of, but now I just figured I would ask here. Can anyone point me to a set of instructions to get a current 2.6 kernel installed and running on a Z50?
