I wondered what would be the best way to implement it... how do other samplers handle this issue? I believe that both volume mapping and crossfading should be implemented at the same time since they seem to correpsond to each other, consider following situations: layer1 is pp layer2 is mf layer3 is ff +--layer1--+--layer2--+--layer3--+ +>>volume>>|>>volume>>|>>volume>>+ only volume is used. +--layer1--+--layer2--+--layer3--+ +>>>>x-fade>>>>>|>>>>>x-fade>>>>>+ only x-fading is used, no volume changes +--layer1---+---layer2---+--layer3--+ +>vol>|>x-fade>|>vol>|>x-fade>|>vol>| both are used So it seems that it would be very useful to have the possibility to adjust the ranges of volumes/x-fades with respect to each other or to turn off volumes or xfades. I think that they depend on each other. Marek |
