There isn't much information out there... but people are still working on it, as TeleDisk was used for more than Akai formats: http://home.earthlink.net/~will_kranz/wteledsk.htm TeleDisk only works for floppy disks, so conversion from TeleDisk format to either an Akai disk image or individual Akai files should probably be done in an external utility rather than supporting .TD0 directly as a file format... > The way I'd like to see things, is that an external utility is used to > rip the instruments off of different medias and convert them to files > that can then be imported using libInstPatch. Can one find Akai patches > on the internet for example? What format would they most likely be in? Creamware used individual Akai S1000 format files, calling the samples ".S" and the programs ".P". FMJsoft AWave also supports this format but I don't know of anyone else who does. But mostly, image files of whole Akai CD-ROMs are used (either S1000 or S3000 format). The Akai S5000 onwards use .WAV and ".AKP" program files on a DOS disk, so you do see individual files being distributed - but there are far more S1000's and S1000 compatible devices around, so S1000 and S3000 are the formats to concentrate on. > I have some S2000 format zip disks sitting in my desk draw.
