I think so. I all came out when we tried to make it build against glib 1.2
or 2.0, it turned out to be complicated and we only needled lists anyway.

I think that if you link against a library both you and it have to be
using the same major glib ver., you should chech though, I wasn;t
following hte discussion very closely.
