After installing NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-375.26.run on three Centos 7.2 systems and PTP began showing the following errors: Jan 16 16:06:17 srv1 ptp4l: [310.600] clockcheck: clock jumped forward or running faster than expected! Jan 16 16:06:17 srv1 ptp4l: [311.126] clockcheck: clock jumped forward or running faster than expected! Jan 16 16:06:17 srv1 ptp4l: [311.127] master offset 2746968193 s0 freq +100000000 path delay -62405854 Jan 16 16:06:17 srv1 ptp4l: [311.272] clockcheck: clock jumped forward or running faster than expected! The one system that I did not install the NVidia video driver PTP is still working fine. I tried using the NVidia uninstall option but the errors persisted. I have started reinstalling the three systems from scratch. This is more a cautionary tale then a cry for assistance. However if you know what may be going on please feel free to educate.
