The sanity_freq_limit shouldn't really be increased beyond 20%.
Especially most hardware doesn't really support larger frequency
offsets. Some might, but it's not really necessary.


As for the other issue with clock jump, make sure your
first_step_threshold is low enough that it will perform a jump. It
should be by default but if you wouldn't mind including your config
here, and the resulting output of ptp4l as suggested by Miroslav.
