I mean to keep this interface as the one and only way of controlling
ptp4l at run time. Other ways have been defined to control a PTP
service, like SNMP. If we ever support these, then it will be as a
separate program to handle SNMP requests and translate them into
management packets on the local UDS interface.

So, I do view the UDS interface as "stable".
