PTP IEEE 1588 stack for Linux

I installed opensuse 12.3. It didn't seem to come with linuxptp (ptp4l) and instead comes with ptpd. However, the kernel did have the native PTP support. I downloaded linuxptp and compiled and ptp4l worked without a hitch on the exact same VM. It appears to perform very well. Thanks!
