That's really strange. It looks like the device's transmit unit is hanging on the first few packets you attempt to send, which is why ptp4l is failing. Yes, please do send along all of your information to e1000-devel and we'll have some more Intel folks look at it. A few other bits that would be helpful are the lspci -vvv output before and after the error occurs as well as whether this failure occurs with any other traffic (i.e. ping). Thank you!
