Aman, We will need some more information before we can help you out with your problem. Can you please provide the output from the following commands? # dmesg # lspci -vvv $ uname -a Also, please provide some additional details about your configuration, steps to reproduce the issue, etc. Which device are you seeing this on? Aman, Did you install the driver from sourceforge? or are you using the in-kernel driver? If you are using the sourceforge driver you need to compile it with "CFLAGS_EXTRA=-DIGB_PTP make" instead of the normal "make". This is because PTP is not enabled in the source forge driver by default.. Also, unsure if its true for igb, but for ixgbe I know that you have to get link up before PTP devices will appear...
