[Linuxptp-users] Question about statistics

Dear all linuxptp users,
I have a question about the statistics collected by ptp4l. Is there any particular reason why the value  of summary_interval must be expressed as power of two?

I mean, I need to have the statistics of 600 samples at 1Hz (10 minutes). I can produce these statistics using phc2sys but not with ptp4l (2^9 = 512 is the nearest value to 600)

The only reason is that we treat this interval like the sync interval
(and using some of the same code). Maybe that is not a very good
reason, and it could be changed with a little work.
