Please note galaxy s4 users reading this, you will have to remove all (or at least the first and last) switches for this to be functional.
If you did not remove them and tried anyway, please exit ubuntu and reboot your phone properly to prevent data corruption. The first and last switches will conflict with my new switch. This is a temporary and fast solution.

If you cannot wait for an update to Linuxonandroid for the S4/SElinux problem why not try Fedora via GNUroot and GNUfedora? I've just switched to get Linux working on my S4 (with SELinux Permissive).
