I got it working. I needed to use the SE-Linux app to set the SELinux mode to permissive. By default it looks like KDE is being used... I thought it was going to be Unity because of the youtube video on the LinuxOnAndroid front page.

I'm having an issue with the Large and Medium images for Ubuntu 13.10. I'm running a rooted Nexus 7 2013 on 4.4.2.
I keep getting a gray window with a message saying "Could not start D-Bus. Can you Call qdbus?" I installed qdbus but it's still giving me the error.
