Some nice improvements to this project

  • Asking_questions

    • Users are not allowed to create tickets on tracker (give "Create" permission to "authenticated" group here)
    • Android applications does not seem to have source code attached. Sourceforge prohibits uploading anything proprietary and AFAIK Google does not allow to upload Market-distributed apks anywhere else, so either use repository/tarball to post only code or simply remove apk files (almost everyone use Market anyway).
    • Create repository for scripts (or am I supposed to post patches in this forum?)
    • You ask people to link back to your sites, but how about at least using README.md files to have links to provided distributions (and it'd be greate to have links to places, where you get used files as well). Most distributions are licensed under GPLv2, so at least human-readable instructions, describing how you have created provided zip archives, is mandatory.

    Hello,
Thank you very much for your input, we are a very small team (myself and two others) and so keeping up with 'admin' wrk often gets left behind so its nice that you have pointed these things out.
I have just added the create permission (we used to use another ticket system but we have stopped using it so users can use here or the forums if they wish)
I shall take the apks off source forge now, could you link me to the where google says this so I can be sure?
The idea of a repository for the scripts came about months ago but we still had a small userbase and so people just posted changes in the forum, however as we have grown quite alot I will bring this up again
Yes your right we need a complete rewrite of the documentations on here and will work on that asap
