Hello everybody, This and last weekend I programmed a lot, to get the software working. After lots of disappointments and problems, I now chose to use a patched MPG123-Version which has been specially enhanced for frontend-controlling. This way, the perl-script can give much more options for controlling the mpg123-player. The Perl-script is server-client-structured and network-able. So you can control it from your PC as well as from the MP3-Box-Buttons, of course. There are even some Gkrellm, GTK, PHP, CGI and ncurses - Programs, which could be used for these reasons. (But they are not exactly for my Server, so we would have to adapt them a bit.) As soon as I have some Time (and my flatrate -- yes, the german telecom didn't send me the DSL in time), I will upload it all and place it on CVS. For now, you just have to trust me, that it works GREAT ! Ronny -- ron...@li... http://www.linuxnetmag.de http://www.linuxmp3box.de ICQ# 17823333 --- FAX: (089) 2443-27305 |
