Hello, now, that the Playlist works rather wall, I'm thiniking of the next important part of the MP3-Box. I don't like it to have my songs played randomly. I want to implement a point-System, where you can rate your songs with points, so that the songs you like best are played more often than the other ones. The normal yes/no-Playlist aren't good enough for my needs ;) Has somebody a good idea of an algorithm to build something like this? My idea ist something like: *give every song a point between 0-10 *before playing look at the ratingpoints of the Song *(I dont know what to do here) Now we have to find a algorithm to play or not to play the song Maybe a "Point-pool". If you play a good-rated song, remove some points from the pool. If the pool is nearly empty, the algorithm can fill up the pool by playing a low-rated song, so that these songs are also played, but not so often. Most important is to have some free variables, which you can adjust, to your own feal, how often a low-rated song should be played. Someone have an Idea of a better algorithm ? In the next step, a song should be rated lower, if you often press the "Next-Song"-Button on your player, so that every new song starts with e.g. 5 points and raises his points, if it is always played completely, but looses some points, if you always skip this song.
