I can just say, some ppl need to go an other road and needs flexibility. I don't mind a prepacked solution but I don't like to be forced using all of it. Would be nice to ba able to turn things on and of and be able to tell LinuxMCE where to find the services when they aren't run on the core. I feel that the only way for me to go to be able to use LinuxMCE is to put it on it's own DMZ. It can play it's network circus there and the rest of my machines won't be bothered about it. LinuxMCE is THE media center but it, sadly, sucks when it comes to flexibility.
