[Linuxmce-project] Installation issue

I've already posted this to the forum, but so far nobody's replied to it.

During the install, after I get to the install messages box, everything goes fine until it gets to installing slimdevices-slim-server_1%3a6.2.2-2_i386.deb': and then everything stops. No mouse, keyboard doesn't respond and the CapsLock and ScrollLock LEDs on the keyboard flash constantly.

In the install docs it mentions that sometimes the system will appear to stop and start and the updates could take a long time, but I left it for an hour and nothing changed.

Do I just exercise more patience or what?

Any ideas would be gratefully accepted.
