[Linuxmce-project] Unable to run LMCE on my laptop.

I followed all instructions as mentioned.. but failed to load LMCE.
1. Ubuntu 6.1 - OK
2. LMCE install - OK
3. Configure - OK
4. When I start LMCE from gnome menu.. first time, it took a while and 
after going thru all setup, it gave me a gray colored screen with mouse 
pointer ONLY.
I tried ctrl+alt+f7.. came back to gnome.. fine
5. tried ctrl+alt+f11 then I got black screen (like linux without X) 
with a cursor on top... nothing else.
Now can I cant go anywhere.. I had to power off by switch.
6. repeated all steps.. same.. over and over again.

My graphics card is ATI mobility radeon x300 in a centrino laptop.

How do I setup LMCE again ? I know its painful.. but I can give another try.
I chose 1280x800 resolution as this is what I use in ubuntu and windows.

Please help.
