Hi All,
Two people in the space of one day mentioned Linux MCE to me so I
thought I'd better take a look.
I don't yet know much about it except that it's a fork of Pluto Home
ported to run on an Ubuntu base. As an Ubuntu user interested in Home
Automation I'm very interested in this project.
I want to ask about licensing because something that put me off Pluto
Home as a developer was that certain key components of the project were
licensed under Pluto's own license which had certain "non-commercial"
clauses which made it non-free software (no freedom for commercial use).
Have these licensing issues been resolved or even noticed and are they a
problem any more?
I'm very interested in playing with Linux MCE and perhaps hacking on the
web interface.
