Yeah, that sounds like a good idea. The X document is pretty old. =) Josh Verily, on Fri, Jun 22, 2001 at 09:55:54PM -0700, C Y saith unto me: > > --- Joshua Go <jt...@jo...> wrote: > > Hey Clifford, > > > > I've linked to it from the main page and mirrors. > > Check http://linuxguide.sourceforge.net under the > > "Contributions" section. I'll see what I can do. One page we might want to update is the one talking about compiling and setting up X. Hey Clifford, I've linked to it from the main page and mirrors. Check http://linuxguide.sourceforge.net under the "Contributions" section. If you contribute on a regular basis then I'll just link to you as a regular author of the guide. Or, you can go and update the old pages if you want. That counts too. =) Perhaps you can just remove the "Application specific tips" header and make the tips for each application an H3 header. Ok, I've attached an update where I tried to fix up the emacs section, plus clarified one or two things. Again, comments welcome. CY __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Spot the hottest trends in music, movies, and more. http://buzz.yahoo.com/ |

Probably not viable at this point. If you want, maybe the way to do it would be to require an index for that type of page once it reaches stable stage, but not during alpha and beta stages. I'm pretty darn sure that at some point I'll have cause to update the remote x windows stuff. Thanks much, CY __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Ok, I've written up the first draft of my proposal for a Debian tips page for the guide, and attached it to this email. Any comments welcome. CY __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Spot the hottest trends in music, movies, and more. http://buzz.yahoo.com/ |
