[linuxdc-dev]Maple bus -4 response

Can anyone tell me about how/why such a response might be generated and how 
to handle it?

My puru puru device driver for Linux works fine with the Naki (cloned) rumble 
pack, but with the Sega puru puru each command sent to the device appears to 
generate a -4 response.
