You may want to try MESS as well.  MESS tries hard to get timing right; 
I had problems getting Kroz to run at reasonable speeds on Bochs.  Also, 
the versions of Bochs I was playing with (1.2 and 1.3) had terrible 
problems with OpenDOS and FreeDOS---in particular, after touching a 
floppy drive, the disk suddenly appeared blank.
